Adam Smith’s famous book, The Wealth of Nations, published in Great Britain in 1776, distinguished between the outputs of what he termed “productive” and “unproductive” labor.

Before I even became a parent, I became obsessed with learning about all things kids. How their brains worked, how adult relationships with them could impact their well-being, and how to use the best “method” to support their growth. I read all the books, listened to all the podcasts, and applied what I learned with my students. When I went on to have kids myself, I also allowed my mother intuition to guide me. Once I had kids, I loved every second of it…even the challenging moments. I came to see that this mindset wasn’t the norm, and I wanted to help more people feel this love, appreciation, and deep connection for the role of caregiver. So, along came Conscious Parenting Coaching. I am Certified with the Conscious Coaching Institute run by Dr. Shefali, but alongside that I incorporate Gentle, Respectful, and Mindful Parenting techniques into my teaching and support. I can’t wait to support you in your journey!!

Conscious Parenting Coaching is an relationship where parents/caregivers work with a coach to enhance their understanding of themselves, their children, and their parenting styles. The goal of conscious parenting coaching is to help parents become more conscious and aware of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in relation to their role as parents. By developing this awareness, parents can make more deliberate choices and respond to their children in a thoughtful and empathetic manner. The coaching process typically involves several key components: Self-Reflection, Mindfulness Practice, Emotional Intelligence, Communication Skills, Setting Boundaries, and Parent-Child Connection. Overall, Conscious Parenting Coaching aims to empower parents to raise self-aware, resilient, and emotionally intelligent children. It recognizes that parenting is a continuous journey of growth and learning, and through coaching, parents can develop the skills and mindset necessary to create a positive and nurturing environment for their children.
